Health insurance for foreigners ERGO Welcome
Czech version: Zdravotní pojištění cizinců ERGO Welcome
We offer health insurance for foreign nationals, who are permanently resident in the Czech Republic and cannot be included in public health insurance (they do not meet the legal conditions for participation in public health insurance), they must have commercial health insurance for foreigners.
The Welcome insurance fully complies with the requirements of Act No. 326/1999 on the Residence of Foreigners and is recognized by the Department of Asylum and Migration Policy (formerly by the Foreign Police).
Insurance parameters
- valid in the Czech Republic and in the Schengen area (outside the Czech Republic only to the extent necessary and urgent health care)
- we offer insurance for all ages – newborns, children, adults and seniors
- discount for full-time students (15-26 years)
- short-term basic insurance for stay up to 90 days – Standard and Plus products
- long-term comprehensive insurance – Komplex, Baby and Dítě+ products

Welcome Komplex
NOTICE! We do not offer this comprehensive health insurance from 2.8.2021 (due to changes in laws).
Comprehensive health care – includes treatment of diseases, injuries and other groups of diagnoses, dental treatment, preventive and dispensary care, pregnancy and childbirth in the Czech Republic.
It also includes medical expenses for pregnancy and childbirth, but after a waiting period of 3/8 months from the conclusion of the contract and does not cover the care of the newborn. For pregnant women, we recommend Komplex Baby (see below).

Welcome Komplex Baby
NOTICE! We do not offer this comprehensive health insurance from 2.8.2021 (due to changes in laws).
Comprehensive health care, an option for pregnant woman.
It also includes medical examinations during pregnancy, childbirth, subsequent continuous postpartum hospitalization and the first subsequent gynecological examination in the puerperium after discharge from hospital.
At the same time, all new born children up to 1 month of age with the limit of 300.000 CZK are insured. The insurance also includes postpartum hospitalization, one preventive check-up at the GP after discharge from the maternity hospital and compulsory vaccination up to the maximum limit of 1.000 CZK.
After birth, choose Welcome Komplex Baby+ product for aftercare (see below).
Welcome Komplex Dítě+
NOTICE! We do not offer this comprehensive health insurance from 2.8.2021 (due to changes in laws).
Comprehensive health insurance for children under 5 years of age. It includes all medical care as a Complex option, in addition, the insurance covers all preventive examinations, including vaccination with a general practitioner and dentist to the extent consistent with the public health insurance of Czech citizens.
